Lake hours: Monday - Sunday 6 am - 7:30 pm
Surface Water Temperature: 65 F
Lake Elevation: 1040.5 ft., (Lake Elevation full: 1055 ft.) We have finished our fall release, so lake level will remain constant unless we get any significant rainfall. Due to the recent storms we have some floating debris on the lake, be cautious.
Trout are being caught trolling surface -5 colors, using Kastmasters, Needlefish, or Rapalas.
Bass are being caught 15-40', on plastics, and jigs.
Crappie and Red Ear have been reported, 15-25' in coves, jigs and nibbles.

Abundant amounts of rainbow trout, brown trout, northern black bass, catfish, bluegill, sunfish and crappie are awaiting your baits and patience. California Fish and Game Department stocks
Lake Piru with 40,000 pounds of rainbow trout annually.
Fish are generally stocked every two weeks. Progressive fisheries habitat management ensure a healthy fish population for years to come. Fish cleaning facilities are available at the
Day-Use entrance to the lake. Friendly personnel at the bait & tackle shop are always available to answer questions and to offer fishing tips and advice. |
